to join one of our agile Scrum teams in our offices in Neuenstein (Hesse), Eschborn, Bad Hersfeld, Kassel or remote! As a Cloud Engineer in our Platform Engineering team, you’ll play a key role in building and maintaining the foundation that enables our product development teams to move fast, stay secure, and scale effortlessly. The Platform Engineering team is responsible for delivering and maintaining shared cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes platforms, and automation tooling—ensuring that development teams can focus on delivering features while we take care of reliability, efficiency, and best practices. You’ll collaborate closely with engineers across teams, driving cloud adoption, infrastructure consistency, and cost-effective operations.

What can you expect with us?

  • Work on modern, scalable cloud infrastructure using AWS, Terraform (Terragrunt), and EKS
  • Take ownership of designing, building, and maintaining infrastructure following best practices
  • Use ArgoCD, Atlantis, and other GitOps tools to drive automation and infrastructure consistency
  • Automate everything: from provisioning to deployment, ensuring repeatability and reliability
  • Improve and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and support development teams in delivering with speed and quality
  • Use GitHub for version control and collaboration
  • Share your knowledge and expertise by mentoring team members and providing technical guidance
  • Collaborate in a culture of continuous improvement, always looking to raise the bar
  • Join a team that values clean code, automation, documentation, and ownership

What do you bring to the table?

  • Hands-on experience with AWS, including core services like EKS, EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS and experience in optimizing usage
  • Deep knowledge of Terraform (ideally with Terragrunt) and Infrastructure as Code best practices
  • Strong, practical experience with Kubernetes
  • Familiarity with GitOps workflows, using tools like ArgoCD and Atlantis
  • Proficiency with Helm, including managing charts, templating, and integrating them with GitOps workflows
  • Solid working knowledge of GitHub for version control and collaboration
  • Excellent scripting or coding skills in Python
  • Proven ability to analyze and optimize cloud costs across multiple environments and teams
  • A drive to automate processes and eliminate manual toil
  • Strong focus on best practices, including security, scalability, and cost-efficiency
  • Experience in mentoring, knowledge sharing, and supporting other engineers
  • Ability to understand and present complex ideas in English, German language is a plus
