As a Software Engineer (f/m/d), you will be part of an agile team within Group IT and shape the future of our software development. With our products for Parcel Shop and Parcel Locker management, and tools to manage our driver‘s Parcel Pick Ups, we support the GLS international business solutions.

- You will translate the requirements of business departments, partners and customers into modern, cloud-based software
- You will take technical responsibility together with the team colleagues for your products throughout their entire life cycle, from conceptualization through implementation to rollout, operation and production support

What do you bring to the table?
- You have a degree in IT, e.g. (business) computer science / engineering, mathematics, physics or similar and 3+ years of experience in software development
- You are at home in the Java 11+ world and have good experience with frameworks (e.g. Spring (Boot), Quarkus), REST-based APIs, cloud services (e.g. AWS RDS), databases (SQL, NoSQL) and deployments using Docker and Kubernetes – ideally also with asynchronous messaging concepts (e.g. Kafka)
- You have solid knowledge of software architecture, software design, software and data security, and see artificial intelligence as an opportunity (ideally you already gained experience in ML or data analytics)
- You are open to new technologies, keep yourself up-to-date, and use your knowledge to continuously optimize our development processes. You are a team player, like to share your knowledge, take responsibility and always look for a good solution for the team, the product and the company
- Your English is very good, and you can understand and present complex ideas
